Do you accept credit cards? Yes, we do.

Do you have Wi-Fi? Yes, we do and it is free to use.

Are you near Blairgowrie town Centre? We are a 10-15 minute walk right into the centre known as 'The Wellmeadow'. There is a huge choice of eating establishments and we have a selection of menus available for you to look at. You are also very welcome to bring back a takeaway, but ask that you use the dining-room in which to eat it.

Do you have parking? We have private off-road parking for 3 cars or there is ample free parking in the lane beside the house. Bikes can be stored in our large secure shed.

We want to arrive early? This is not usually a problem, but please inform me first as I do need to go out at times! and I am not responsible should you turn up early and nobody is at home. I cannot guarantee rooms being available before noon.

We are going to be out late? All guests are given a key for the front door regardless of whether you will be out late.

Can I smoke in your house? Simple answer, no, but you are welcome to smoke in the garden. The house is fitted with hard wired interlinking smoke/heat detectors.

Blairgowrie Public Transport

The nearest Railway station's with regular bus services to Blairgowrie are either in Perth or Dundee. There is also a train station in Dunkeld. Although a car is beneficial to explore the area, we have up to date bus timetables available should you decide to have a car free day.

Gilmore House Access Statement

Due to the layout of the house, we are unable to offer facilities for guests with severe mobility limitations. There is parking right beside the house with a level path to the front door which has one low step. All bedrooms are on first floor level, via an easy staircase. Assistance with luggage is offered. All flooring is carpeted apart from the bathrooms which are fitted with non-slip flooring. All bedrooms have remote control television. Assistance dogs are welcome. With advance notice special dietary requirements can be provided. Fire Alarms are audible. Allergies, we have a dog but he does not have access to guest accommodation. In case of emergencies there is someone on the premises most of the time, and always at night. There are provisions to contact us should we be out.

Cateran Trail Luggage Transfer

If you are walking the Cateran Trail and need luggage transferred between overnight stops please contact me and I can give you some telephone numbers. Alternatively, if we are on the first and last stop of your walk you can leave some luggage with us if you.

Scottish Airports

Scotland is well served with airports. The nearest 35 minutes away is Dundee. Edinburgh is just over an hour away. Aberdeen is an hour and a half as is Glasgow. Glasgow Prestwick and Inverness are approximately 2 hours away. are travelling light.
